David W. Sumner

Professional Activities
Mr. Sumner is a member of the Pennsylvania, Arizona, Ohio, Maryland, Georgia, South Carolina and Arkansas State Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ), as well as the Georgia and South Carolina Trial Lawyers Associations. He previously served as a Rotating Instructor, Civil Advocacy Course, Legal Education Institute, Office of the United States Attorney General. Mr. Sumner has served as an adjunct faculty critiquer for programs sponsored by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). He is invited to lecture on medical malpractice litigation topics and has previously presented a program titled "The Investigation of the Obstetrical Case" to the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. Mr. Sumner has also published numerous insightful articles on medical malpractice topics with emphasis on special issues arising in birth injury cases.  The published articles reflect his medical knowledge and vast experience in handling medical negligence cases.
